Outdoor Instructor

(Permanent Full-Time Position) Immediate Start

An opportunity has arisen at our Outdoor Education Centre on the edge of North Yorkshire, close to Skipton, for an Instructor who holds a Minibus Licence and SPA qualification.  Other relevant outdoor qualifications and experience are desirable.

Remuneration £14,500 per annum.  Package includes accommodation and food, uniform, access to equipment and training package.

Freelance Outdoor Instructors

We require freelance outdoor instructors for a range of roles, from June – August 2018

Minimum requirements: current 1st Aid certificate, DBS Check, full UK drivers licence and at least 1 national governing body award in an outdoor and adventurous activity.

Wage: £380 per month in the first year, reviewed at the end of 2017, plus bonus at end of each year.

Includes training and assessments in NGB’s as well as minibus licence.

Also includes uniform, kit, food and accommodation (including all bills).

Minimum requirement to apply: full clean UK driving licence and at least 1 (or more) of the following NGBs: SPA, LCMLA  or BCU/UKCC Level 1 Paddlesport. The successful candidate will be expected to gain their minibus licence as soon as possible, paid for by High Adventure.

(80 positions- minimum age 18)


£175 per week + full board accommodation + training + meals + camp fees paid + first aid training 1st SEASONAIRE

This post is perfect for anyone aspiring to be an outdoor instructor or anyone with a passion for the outdoors who would like to gain experience working with children.

We will provide full training in all of our on-site activities and an HSE recognised first aid course prior to being in charge of groups.

Working on our summer camps is the best way to into our highly successful and popular trainee instructor scheme which runs from January every year at our main site in North Yorkshire.


The ideal candidate will have experience of working with groups and skills in one or more areas of outdoor activities.

If you can handle living in a tent for the length of the contract through good weather and bad whilst still turning up for work happy and enthusiastic every day, then you are the right person for this job!
