Domestic Catering Assistant
40 hours per week, flexi-time depending on clients.
Monday: 8:30am to 12:30am, 3:00pm to 7:00pm = 8hrs
Tuesday: 7:00am to 11:00am, 3:00pm to 7:00pm = 8hrs
Wednesday: 7:00am to 11:00am, 3:00pm to 7:00pm = 8hrs
Thursday: 7:00am to 11:00am, 3:00pm to 7:00pm = 8hrs
Friday: 7:00am to 11:00am, 12:00 to 4:00pm =8hrs
Assistant to the Domestic Manager. Main duties will include;
- Food preparation, cooking and service
- Maintaining HSE & food safety standards
- Cleaning of kitchen and kitchen equipment.
- Assisting in the cleaning of all areas of the centre; bathrooms, bedrooms, offices, social spaces, etc…
- Assisting the domestic manager in ordering and development of the menu.
- Providing high quality customer service and support.
The following are our preferred levels of experience;
- Must hold a current food hygiene certificate.
- Must have experience working in domestic kitchen, preparing, cooking and serving for more than 20 clients.
- Must have a positive, problem solving approach.
- Must have high customer service skills.
- Must be able to work both as part of a team and by themselves.
DBS CHECK WILL BE UNDERTAKEN
Pay & Holidays:
Salary: £14,000 per annum
Holidays: 30 days

Multi-Activity Instructor Vacancy
An opportunity is now available at our Outdoor Education Centre on the edge of North Yorkshire, close to Skipton, for a multi-activity instructor who holds their minibus licence and basic NGB qualifications.
Depending on experience and the NGB qualifications of the applicant we have an opportunity to bring you into the 2nd or 3rd year of our developing instructor scheme. As part of the package High Adventure will provide training and assessments in relevant NGB qualifications, accommodation, food, access to kit and the opportunity to work with a range of client groups. Wage & end of year bonus depends on the level you enter at. 25 days holiday per calendar year, two weeks of which must be taken at Christmas shut down and no holidays are to be taken in June or July.

We will provide full training in all of our on-site activities and an HSE recognised first aid course prior to being in charge of groups.
Working on our summer camps is the best way to into our highly successful and popular trainee instructor scheme which runs from January every year at our main site in North Yorkshire.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with groups and skills in one or more areas of outdoor activities.

Climbing Club Instructor (Part-time)
We are looking to recruit a part-time instructor to run our popular indoor Climbing Club sessions every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening (term-time only).
The club is run for children aged 6 and over who have varying levels of climbing ability.
The successful candidate will ideally hold either CWA or SPA, although this is not essential as in-house training will be provided. Experience of working with children and knowledge of the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme would be beneficial and the role will be subject to DBS checks.
6.00pm – 7.30pm (plus set up and pack up time before and after each session)
£20 per night

Selection Process: We ‘select’ our ‘trainees’ via a couple of day trial at High Adventure. During this trial you will spend time with a variety of different members of HA staff and get to experience a variety of different activities / tasks. The intention of this process is for you to fully understand & appreciate what is involved whilst working at HA and to allow us to get to know you and see what makes you tick.
