Our Tree Climb Activity is part of Bolton Abbey’s Welly Walk, which is available every day during the summer holidays.  The Welly Walk is a children’s self-guided adventure trail through the woodland between the Stepping stones and the Cavendish Pavilion.

Along the 1 mile route there are numerous obstacles and challenges, including: Tunnels, slides, mazes, ladders, balance beams, swings and more!

For those who are adventurous, why not have a go at climbing a tree? Our qualified instructors are there to give you the opportunity to climb a tree using professional equipment in a safe environment. There is a small charge of £3 per child, per climb.

The adventure trail follows the riverside woodland walk and the activities are suitable for children 4 to 12 years old.   Come rain or shine, it is a great fun day out!

“May I just say though what a fantastic activity with wonderful staff, I have emailed Bolton Abbey to express this aswell. The lady that helped us was brilliant and so encouraging and the activity as a whole was well organised and well priced.”  Liz Perkin, August 2014
